PRODUCTION FACILITY
Lecital production facility is based in the heart of Europe. We strategically planned it to have ample raw material for Sunflower Rapeseed and Soy lecithin. Lecital's plant is built for the production capacity of 1,000 metric tons of lecithin per month. Our storage capacity is 400 metric tons of lecithin temperature controlled.

Lecital's lecithin standardization unit combines the latest technology with modern equipment. We are able to modify the following parameters as per your requirement:

Lecital has an in house labaratory calibrated with a well-known European lab. We test our lecithin thoroughly on different stages of production as per AOCS testing methods.

Lecital responsibly provides a safe and modern workplace for 36 employees, as per FSSC 22000 regulations, and best workplace sustainability practices.
LOCATION

Ukraine is the leading grower of Sunflower on the planet. For that reason, it was important, that our facility would have the optimal location to be able to benefit from ample supply of raw material. Our Production facility is situated close to Vinnytsia. The region surrounding it with a 600 km radius,is by far, the biggest region of the world in terms of sunflower growth and crushing. It is also rich in Rapeseed growth, and is being more and more attributed for Non Gmo Soy harvesting. The plant is conveniently located with acess to the biggest Ukraine port, for fast and effective logistic operations. The land surrounding the plant allows us to plan for future growth, as well as expansion of the current production, standardization, storage, and communications facilities. A deep water well on site gives us access to ample clean water, which is then thoroughly standardized and desalinized for our production needs. The location surrounding the facility, is well known for its lakes, and forests, rivers, and healing mud baths. We are proud to say that Lecital does everything in its power to sustain and preserve this natural richness. We have ensured that both aerial and water residues are filtered out according to the EU highest standards. Lecital takes pride and responsibility for sustainable environmentally clean production approach.

EQUIPMENT

A modern production facility is a key element in sustaining a continuous production of high quality lecithin products. Lecital’ s plant is only 3 years old, so all the equipment is not only modern, but is also relatively new. This allows us to have less plant stoppages, and less variations in Certificates of Analyses, which is our aim. The facility is FSSC22000 certified, and we had to do some renovations in order to comply with the strictest rules of Food Safety system. The manufacturing facility is also certified Kosher, Halal, Cert Id, and in 2019 we received GMP+ feed certification. Lecital has a plan of significant expansion of both production capabilities and lecithin products. We regularly invest a significant portion of our earnings into development of lecithin lines and addition of production equipment. Lecital continuously tries to improve the main physical parameters of lecithin and we cooperated with leading manufacturers of machinery from all over the world. We are also on track to regularly add storage tanks for raw materials and ready products.

PLANT AUTOMATION

Lecital production facility has implemented a flexible manufacturing automation system, which is a kind of variable automation in which many processes are intergrated by a pre-set material-handling system, and all significant segments of the lecithin production process are controlled by a central computer. While we value our employees, and their knowledge of lecithin processing, we cannot disregard the advantages of the modern computer process control systems. Lecital’s automated process control infrastructure consists of 4 major segments: (1) measurement of important process variables such as temperature, moisture content, flow rate, vacuum pressure, ambient parameters, etc. (2) execution of an optimal process strategy derived from measured parameters, (3) automated execution of control devices such as switches, shutoff and control valves, and furnaces that make possible the process of employing the optimal strategy (4) generation of reports to facility management overviewing equipment status, production performance, and product quality. All of the data is brought together to the operations control room, and is looked over by our experienced personnel.

LABAROTORY and R & D

Testing incoming raw materials as well as lecithin at different stages of production is an integral part of our commitment to manufacturing the best lecithin products. Lecital has found that the same lecithin sample can produce quiet a range of results, depending on the laboratory one chooses. Because of this phenomenon we have tested with many well-known European labs, in order to find one which could be used as a reference to calibrate our plant laboratory against. This was done after a six-month trial period of careful standardization of our laboratory equipment, testing methodology, and solvents and other reagents. Lecital in house laboratory is now confidently able to test the main seven physical parameters such as Acetone Insoluble matter (AI), Impurities content (HI, TI), Moisture content, Acid Value (AV), Peroxide Value (PV), Viscosity, Gardner Color. Microbiological analyses, Heavy Metals testing, Transgenic DNA testing and many other tests related to lecithin are outsourced to a qualified partner lab. Lecital also conducts Research & Development with aim to optimize our own lecithin product line, as well as development of new lecithin products. For this purpose, we have formed an R & D alliance with the Ukrainian Oils & Fats Institute (UOFI), which provides us its faculty and personnel for all kinds of projects in lecithin. In turn we support them both financially and educationally, allowing post graduate training programs in our production facility. For Lecital it is a win-win concept, where we get access to the brightest UOFI graduates receiving experience in actual lecithin manufacturing facility, and we are able to recruit from the best.
